Sea to Sand ...

I like blogs - the good ones give inspiration, ideas and at times, some entertainment. The not so good are nothing more of a diary (which is fine is that is what it is supposed to be). Mine has always tended to be a scratch pad and a way of sharing a wee bit of life with like minded folks ...I hope !

Always on the look out for new blogs I stumbled across a post titled "they-call-it-the-toughest-footrace-on-earth" - I knew what this was about !

The interesting thing to me was the writer was an professional sailor having having a number of solo transatlantic crossings to her name - one of which was rowing boat ! How would that experience transfer to the Sahara I was left asking ...

Over the next couple of months, Lia made the transition from "thinking" to "doing" - in less than 11 months, she will be on the start line for the 2013 Marathon des Sables.

Factor in that Lia is an artist, writer and a generally nice lass and I reckon her blog is worth following.
