Corse Hill ...

A year ago just now, I was kidding myself on …trying to pretend to be a sharp city slicker type, negotiating on a new salary and matching terms & conditions for a job I couldn’t do.

Yesterday evening, I ran to the summit of a local hill in the last light of the day to see the sun go down. Leaving Carrot farm and starting up the track, the only noise I could hear were the warning “barks” of roe deer.

The sunset to the west over Ayrshire was impressive and only once the cold air started to chill the sweat on my back did I start the descent down through the darkness back to the van. I might only have had the light of an old headtorch and a pertex windcheater with me …but in reality, thats more than the city boy could have ever had.
