A new perspective ...

I’ve loved taking images of my wee adventures and travels since I was around twelve years old and my Dad handed me down his Kodak Instamatic which used 126 Cartridge film. It wasn’t long until I upgraded to a fully manual 35mm SLR and over the years used a selection of compacts including a quirky APS Olympus Mju and the classic (and one of my favourites) an Olympus XA.

I used to play around with B&W images and like many had my own darkroom set up – seeing an photograph slowly emerge in a bath of developer is something that few will now experience.

I’ve also shot hours of 8mm video on an early Sony Handycam before moving up to Sony DV camera.

Wee bit sad that all of the above are now pretty much obsolete with even my Nikon D-SLR not seeing as much use as it really should. Instead almost all records are made with a wee GoPro Hero (for the sporty stuff) and a Sony A6000 (for the arty stuff).

But, with technology being on a constant move ...a new perspective thanks to the DJI Spark - early days but looking forward to this opening up an angle for photo and video previously unavailable.

Super early days but fun learning !

Learning to Fly ....
